Sail into luxury - Celebrity Cruises/Food and Travel
A double-page spread for Celebrity Cruises, designed to garner votes for them in the Food and Travel Reader Awards. The brief was simply to make them sound like they had more to offer than any other cruise line on the shortlist (which included all the major players in the industry.) I read as much material about the line as possible, then extracted the information most likely to appeal to Food and Travel readers. Get a sense of it from the excerpts below.
'Some holidays are as much about the journey as they are the destination, and a cruise with Celebrity Cruises is a case in point.'
'In the Food and Travel Reader Awards, Celebrity Cruises has been voted Ocean Cruise Line of the Year three times in a row. And it’s the excellent food that Food and Travel readers site as one of the major reasons behind its success.'
'If this whets your appetite for rare wines, commandeer the help of one of the 200 certified sommeliers who roam the fleet. They’ll be delighted to show you around the wine collection, which boasts more than 400 labels, making it one of the biggest at sea.'
'From innovative cuisine to off-the-beaten track destinations, Celebrity Cruises believes in opening up the world for you with once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Don your glad rags for the Cannes Film Festival, visit Ernest Hemingway’s Caribbean home or walk barefoot on a deserted beach in Manzanillo, Costa Rica.'
'Exhilarating days call for plenty of relaxation time and the staterooms are seamlessly designed to help you make the most of it. The decor is best described as modern luxury. Expect king- sized beds draped in Egyptian cotton, flat-screen televisions and 24-hour room service...'
'For the ideal sundowner, order a martini from the ice bar and start thinking about where Celebrity Cruises will take you next.'
