Make it Malta - Visit Malta/Food and Travel
A full page advertorial in Food and Travel commissioned by Visit Malta to coincide with Valetta being European Capital of Culture 2018. I have aimed to balance the client's agenda (which was to get across the wide variety of activities Malta offers) with the house style. Get a sense of it from the excerpts below.
'Named European Capital of Culture for 2018, this honey-coloured city is lapped by Mediterranean waves and basks in glorious weather all year round, despite the fact it is ony a three-hour flight from the UK. In November you can expect average highs of 21C.'
'Despite a wine tradition stretching back 2,000 years, it’s rare to find Maltese labels outside the archipelago. This is because the wines produced with the fruity gellewza grape and delicate ghirghentina are so popular locally there are few left to export. Discover them with a tour of San Niklaw, a vineyard on the lush south-eastern coast.'
'Malta is one of the only places in Europe where you can combine a city break with world-class diving. The Azure Window, a limestone arch off little sister island, Gozo, collapsed in March this year, creating a new seascape to explore with a local a dive club. Expect to see scorpion fish, Neptune grass and the ghosts of long-wrecked ships in the crystal-clear waters.
